Fathers Day Fun.....

It was great to have Shelli and Sarah and her family come over. We even had a family get together around the computer to talk to Steph and her family. We had good food, lots of laughs, and fun, fun, fun! The boys wanted boxing gloves for Dad for fathers day.... and so we got them, Jake wanted the punching bag too... so we got that...but the first thing they hit was each other! Crazy boys... Shelli even got involved, Brad was kind to her. :-) Love ya Shell.

Then it was time to take a walk, so off we started down the road to watch Uncle Jake on the skate board.

On with our walk, we headed to the birds. He was holding onto my finger pretty hard. Wasn't sure about where we were going, then around the corner came "Unca Dave" a favorite of my kids.... he has a way with my grandboys! He was on the tractor!!! a Hero!

Quinn was fast to let go of my finger then... and got to go for a ride, "Unca Dave" said he even got to drive it a little... not sure that was planned.. but Quinn had a great time and didn't want to get off.

We continued to the birds and fed them some weeds, found a rock to kick and watched "Unca Dave" mow the field. It was a great day!!

I LOVE summer vacation!

• I love having the boys around!!!
• I love having the freedom of just going.....
• I love watching my boys interact together and goof around.
• I love the warm evenings and mornings.. (not HOT, just warm) and cool drinks.
• I love vacations!!!

New things.....

Things around here that are new!!

• Quinn helps me keep my flowers on the porch alive!
• I'm babysitting for a neighbor girl every morning, loving it!!
  


• Jesse is starting football (makes me scared)
• Jesse is practicing "jumping things" This was the result of the last time... he was running up a stop sign....
• Jacob is almost done with his papers.
• Brad keeps getting bigger and more determined to be even bigger.
• I have a block and can't seem to say or write anything (feels like I'm speechless... thats a first!
• Shellie found homes for "ALL" of the puppies...we didn't even keep one!!
• I was getting used to sleeping at night... and now.. a sleepless night.. sigh!
• I now have red hair.
• Brad just woke up at 5:50 on his own!! (now there is no seminary of course!)

Beautiful trip!!

The world is such a beautiful place..... it saddens me to know how many people are in pain, hurting or just plain sad... and they can't see the beauty in everything around them. Sometimes it can drag you down with them.
I got to take a motorcycle ride this past week, it was beautiful. I love the mountains and the fresh air.

There always seems to be something more important than the break that we so desperately need sometimes. It's nice to just get away and dream of days gone past, the way things were, and hope of things to come.

This past week has been particularly hard. I've had a hard time staying possitive, I have been grumpy with my boys, and uncommonly pessimistic! I'm usually happy for a new day, but they just seem to run together. (When you don't sleep they kind of do just run together.) I found myself taking happiness quizes.. funny huh..

When things start feeling like this it's time to stop and smell the roses..... wait.. my roses are not blooming yet.. maybe I better go buy some so I can get that done today!!!

Much needed, I'm sure my family will agree.

Family Gathering, like no other!

Today was a great day of family, fun, support and love!
We love Grandma Romm!! It showed today when we had a lot of people all over her house.


ON TOP!! and on the HILL... all working hard. It's time for a new roof, so the boys all got together and started taking off the old stuff.
Well not to be outdone.... we girls got a hold of the hill. We had a great time of chatting, working, getting blisters, learning how to pull the grasses.... water, juice, and soda from Grandma... It was a warm day, but could have been worse. The weeds are almost done... the roof got all finished and waiting for the roofers..


So.. as life goes around our house.... as the work is getting wrapped up, the entertainment starts....

All in all.. it was a great day!

Wooo Hooo.....

Jacob is done with High School!! He came home today and was relieved that the final assignment for High School was complete! I have been so proud of him, he has worked hard to finish High School along with receiving his AA from CBC.

He is ready to start his fishing months.

The next on his list is to complete the papers to prepare for his Mission, and he already has pulled out the Preach My Gospel book to start his new quest for being prepared. I love him and the example he is to everyone. He has a great determination to figure out how he is going to accomplish his goals. He is a go and do kind of boy and I am so thankful that he is my son!

I am thankful for good friends! Spencer has been a fantastic friend, and it has been nice to share homework and rides.

We made it back and didn't take a watch so I blogged just before we left... this will be time for today. We will beat it later!

Early morning motivation.......

Thought I would let you know that I tried to get out of going this morning.... I got the text, (Brad) "are you ready to go"? .... (mom) "I didn't sleep at all maybe an hour", (Brad) "walking will relax you"... (mom's thoughts..... ok ok, I'll do it. And we are off!!! :-)

Feel the burn.....

I had a great workout tonight. Brad has become quite the personal trainer. I went in to the club tonight with him at 9 and we got done around 10:30, it was GREAT! I feel "super pumped". We are going to work on getting me down even more sizes... 3 and counting!! woo hooo, it is starting to feel like I am taking care of my needs again. Life can be confusing, difficult, stressful, and yet fullfilling all at the same time. I love my boys and the help they are to me. My girls are a great source of strength! Tonight I feel like I can take a bull by the horns... ok....not really but the thought was good! Brad text me and said we are going to run at 6:00, thats what I get for telling him I want to work out three times a day... he just might make me!

Learning the ropes....

Quinn spent the day with us while mom and dad went to finish up the move stuff!! He got his first lesson on the board from Uncle Jake... and lessons on how to hold a puppy from Uncle Jess! It was so fun for us to have him all to ourselves! Not that we don't like mom around, but he just played and played! He taught me a few new lessons too!

Things as they seem.....

Most of the time we put on a front. We show people what we want them to see. Then it's hard for us to realize, other people do the same thing. We just feel that they are perfect and we are faking it. We all.............. ALL .........of us have our burdens to carry. It's not time to live in a perfect world.. we have to endure this one first. We need to help each other, be there for each other, and never judge.

I love my family and the people who love me because of my tallents and still love me when they know of my weaknesses.. of these I have many. I am so thankful for the gift of repentance!

We all want the same things.. let's all get there together, hand in hand. No matter where we are in the pattern of life.

Spring

I love spring weather:

This past week (and it's only Wednesday) has been a busy one.

• visit from Sarah's family YEAH!!
• sick kids BOOO!!
• planting flowers (from mothers day!!)
• going to the club (even with Hubby!)
• clean, clean, clean, clean
• GRADUATION (finished all writting exits!!!!)

Wow.. they are growing fast and getting cuter and cuter... thats bad, but good.

Great start to my week

I took Blaine to the airport on Monday. I had a nice time visiting with him. He is such an awesome guy! He has a good heart.

Then on my way past Basin City, I thought I'd stop and see if I could fix Rhinda's internet problem.. with the help of Lyle.... (thanks Lyle) I got it working for her again. I love doing that!

I got home and my boys had cleaned up the kitchen from Saturday and Sunday.. awesome boys!!

Today I got my bills posted and some paid.. I plan to go to the club at 11:00 along with some running for Brad and Jesse.... (I know read love and logic!!)

A real cowgirl!

I went over to Shel's house and found a real cowgirl!! and her garden is in, and her chickens are growing ...

And their off!!!!

Today I went to the race horses with IdaMae, had a lot of fun, relax time, and great company!

We even got in the money on the last race... it was fun!

May Day, May Day!!!!

I can't believe it is already May!! Wow, time just seems to go faster and faster.

Wednesday the YM/YW went to the ground breaking for the new Stake Center. It was very interesting. They suggested that we as a family look up Parley Street and get some history of what happened there in the early years of the church, then do a family home evening about it. Then go to the Parley Stake Center and walk down Parley road. I thought that sounded like a good idea... but I haven't looked for any stories yet but the thought is still in my head. Along with a lot of other "stuff".

It was a nice little meeting, it will be great to have a big Stake Center. I remember when the other one was being built. Wow I am OLD! But not as old as some other people I know. :-)

I got to visit with Rhinda and her family while we were waiting and it was awesome. She is such a sweet person and her girls are following right along in her footsteps!!

I found a few more books that I can read to any grandkids.... that would like to

"cam read with Nammy" hey.. maybe I should start a website.... teasing.

Just so you know... we delivered 200 more birds today!! We should be able to stop buying so much food now. They all might started getting tail feathers if they have more room to roam.

Thank Heaven for Tylenol PM

I have been pretty proud to not be on medication right now for my fybromyalsia. I have been doing so well without any pain meds... or other stuff. I have had a few sleepless nights lately so I thought I would just take a tylenol pm and wow, I had no idea how fast I would get sleepy. I filled the tub and settled in for a nice bath and I was in the middle of a conversation with Richard and all of a sudden I felt like I couldn't talk or keep my eyes open. It might have just relaxed me enough to let the sleepyness take hold, but whatever! I fell asleep and slept until I got a fantastic wake up call from a very sweet man!! (yes my husband!!) I felt really fantastic today. I got a few things done, but even more than that I had a good attitude about life, love and all of the above!! (sleep that is)

Tomorrow will be another adventure, we get to catch 200 birds this time. I will be sure to watch where I stick my face this time!

I think I might get to go to the mountains this weekend!! Woo Hoo... I have been feeling the need to do that. It will be for a service project, but whatever it is for, I am excited.

It also sounds like I just might be taking a trip to Seattle! That would be nice too. I can't wait for school to be out so I can take the boys and go!!

I know... it is now 12:01 and May 1st!! The new X-man movie is out now.. I might be able to talk someone into going to it with me. If not... I will go it alone.....

Puppies!!!!! and more puppies!!!

Well most of you know we have puppies, so if anyone knows of someone that is need of a cute black and white one..(or two or three) I would hope to be the first phone call. I have 7 of them. They are getting so fun, right now they are about 3 weeks and starting to walk around, whimper and know that they are away from mom.

Moms are just the greatest!! :-) I know I love mine!

Great Morning!

Even though I went to bed late, and got up early, today is going to be a great one! It's a beautiful cool, breezy day. We might even get some rain! Love the rain. It reminds me of the days when I was in high school and I would go out and get on my horse Wildfire bareback and just ride in the dunes. LOVED IT! I think that is why the rain is one of my favorite things. I miss riding horses and the freedom of just going.

I have been thinking about going back to school, and I just don't know what I want to be when I grow up! Any thoughts??? Steph just said something with no stress.. I agree. I think I have gotten more wrinkles in these last few months than I have ever! My hair continues to have no gray.... ( right Shellie?) Ok.. thanks to Shellie.

Dana invited me out this week to go kayaking, that will be a new adventure for me. I am excited to do that. Rhinda needs her computer fixed right away, so she can email her missionary.. and Jani has been trying to get me to help her get her files on her computer in order.. so I think that will outline the rest of my week. I love to help my sisters! I had a fantastic visit with Ranae yesterday, it's amazing how much love sisters can have for each other. I love you all!!!

Garbage day today... woo hoo. Love to see it go away. Wish it was that easy to move all garbage! Speaking of the kind in my head! :-)
